IRAN RESPONDS TO MASSIVE U.S. ARMADA GATHERING IN THE PERSIAN GULF
Kurt Nimmo - Infowars.com - September 16, 2012 - Following a story published in The Telegraph reporting an armada of U.S. and British ships amassing in the Persian Gulf, a top commander in Iran’s Revolutionary Guard warned Sunday that “nothing will remain” of Israel if his country is attacked....
The Telegraph says Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps navy will use an “access-denial” strategy and directly target warships and attack merchant shipping. The newspaper reports warships from more than 25 countries, including the United States, Britain, France, Saudi Arabia and the UAE, began a 12-day exercise on Saturday in the Gulf. The multi-national force includes three US Nimitz class carrier groups hosting more aircraft than Iran’s entire air force.
The war game is the largest ever conducted in the region. It will concentrate on breaking an Iranian blockade of the Strait of Hormuz and perform drills to counter Iranian mining.
In October, Iran will stage its own exercises in the Persian Gulf to demonstrate its ability to defend the country against the threat of attack. Iran is showcasing the exercise as the “biggest air defense war game in the Islamic Republic’s history, and will be its most visible response yet to the prospect of an Israeli military strike,” according to The Telegraph. During the exercise, Iran will use aerial drones, surface-to-air missiles, and radar described as state-of-the-art. In an effort to ward off an Israeli air attack, the Revolutionary Guard will test the defenses of 3,600 strategic locations around the country.
Sources inside the Obama administration believe an attack is inevitable and will come prior to the election in November. In late August, it was reported that Israel will strike Iran before the election. Alon Ben-David, described by the Daily Mail as a well-informed military correspondent for Israel’s Channel 10 News, claimed that Israel was “closer than ever” to a strike against Iran. THE DECIDER
Opponents of an Israeli strike on Iran have focused their ire on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. But it's his hawkish defense minister, Ehud Barak, who is really driving the talk of war.
BY OREN KESSLER | AUGUST 23, 2012
TEL AVIV — Twenty years have passed since Israel first raised the alarm over Iran's nuclear program, 10 years since Iranian dissidents revealed the enrichment plant at Natanz, and roughly two since pundits started predicting an Israeli attack against the Islamic Republic. Today, never have so many Israelis from across the political spectrum agreed that a military strike on Iran's nuclear facilities could arrive within months.
More... Channel 2, Israel's leading newscast, reported earlier this month that the foremost advocates of a strike -- Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Ehud Barak -- are nearing a final decision on whether to push the button. Meanwhile, Haaretz editor-in-chief Aluf Benn wrote that Netanyahu wants to attack "in the coming weeks" -- and Yossi Melman, the paper's former intelligence reporter, estimated the "window of opportunity" for a strike at 80 days.
Efraim Halevy, the former head of Israel's Mossad spy service and an outspoken opponent of a strike, echoed the same sentiment. "If I were an Iranian, I would be very fearful of the next 12 weeks," the laconic, British-born septuagenarian said early this month. http://www.foreignpolicy.com/articles/2012/08/23/the_decider

U.S.INTELLIGENCE COMMUNITY DRAFT REPORT SAYS DUMP ISRAEL
Posted on August 28, 2012 by Boulderdash - According to an article by Franklin Lamb appearing on the Foreign Policy Journal’s website today, the Israel lobby is preparing to trash a draft report prepared by the U.S. intelligence community that suggests the U.S. needs to drastically reduce its commitment to Israel for a number of increasingly urgent reasons. This report could signal the beginning of the end of America’s unquestioning provision of military, diplomatic, and financial support to the “Jewish state”, thus a massive P.R. attack is being planned at the Republican National Convention to smear the Obama administration for the intelligence community’s insightful and sensible analysis of the exploitive nature and ongoing dangers of America’s present relationship with Israel.
The main points made in the intelligence community’s report are contained in the Foreign Policy Journal’s article, link below. Among the main findings of this ‘relationship analysis’ are some searing indictments of Israel, and of the costly and damaging effects to the economic well-being and the international standing of the United States. Here are some brief examples, in no particular order:
“Israel, given its current brutal occupation and belligerence cannot be salvaged any more than apartheid south Africa could be… as American power and influence recedes, the US commitment to belligerent oppressive Israel is becoming impossible to defend or execute consistent (sic) given paramount US national interests which include normalizing relations with the 57 Islamic countries… U.S. public opinion no longer supports funding and executing widely perceived illegal US wars on Israel’s behalf…”

US PREPARING FOR A POST ISRAEL MIDDLE EAST East?
by Franklin Lamb - August 28, 2012 - BEIRUT — Congresswoman Illena Ros-Lehtinen will have her hands full as she makes the political and social rounds at this month’s Republican National Convention. Illena is the only female committee chair in the House of Representatives and arguably Israel’s most ardent agent. She is a constant thorn in the Obama administration’s side, regularly castigating the president for playing “political games with U.S. foreign policy” and being “soft on Iran” and undermining the legitimacy of Israel. Ros-Lehtinen is a congressional cheer leader also for her Jewish voters in Florida—a key battleground in the rapidly approaching US presidential election. Most recently, Ros-Lehtinen helped shepherd through Congress yet another bill tightening sanctions against Iran while calling for US military action against the Assad regime in Syria.
The Congresswoman’s focus will likely not be on pushing the republican’s talking points regarding her party’s nominee, Mitt Romney, the former “moderate Massachusetts governor” who she is aware is unlikely to win the White House. Nor, according to a source at the Democratic National Committee, frantically putting together final touches on their own Convention, to be held the week of September 3 in Charlotte, North Carolina, will Ileana spend much time with or promoting Mitt’s running mate, Congressman Paul Ryan. Ryan, an Ayn Rand (author of The Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged as well as founder of the Objectivism movement) follower, regularly tells audiences that “Ayn Rand’s teachings have been one of the most profound philosophical influences of my life”—well, except for religion and abortion, as Ayn who passed away in 1982 was an avowed atheist and strongly pro-abortion, the opposite of what Ryan tells audiences he is. DEBUNKING MYTHS ON ISRAEL AND U.S. FOREIGN POLICY
by Aaron David Miller - September 7, 2012 - JewishJournal.com - Nowhere are the urban legends and mythologies more enduring and destructive than those that currently surround Israel and U.S. foreign policy. Here are five of the most popular myths that are worth unpacking and discrediting.
Myth #1: Obama is Hostile to Israel
Obama’s critics and Romney’s supporters have to get real on this issue. So does Mitt Romney himself who recently declared at the Republican National Convention in Tampa Bay that Obama has “thrown Israel under the bus.” That’s ridiculous. No American president ever has or would.
That the personal relationship between Netanyahu and Obama isn’t good and that Obama lacks an instinctual pro-Israeli sensibility shouldn’t mask the deepening institutional bonds, particularly on the security side, that have occurred during the Obama presidency.
The Administration has delivered to Israel unprecedented levels of foreign military financing – covering roughly one-fifth of Israel’s budget; it has provided the Israelis with advanced technology; deepened counterterrorism cooperation; and equipped the Israelis with sophisticated weapons such as the fifth generation stealth joint strike fighter. And nowhere has cooperation been closer than on missile defense. The Administration has helped fund Iron Dome, a component of a more comprehensive approach to help the Israelis develop a multidimensional missile defense system including maintaining an advanced U.S. X-band long range radar system and positioning American Aegis BMD ships in the eastern Mediterranean.
The Administration has also worked closely with Israel on various initiatives to counter Iran’s capability to create nuclear weapons by imposing some of the toughest sanctions ever and cooperating intimately on cyber warfare. It has also worked hard to prevent efforts by the PLO to push the statehood issue at the UN, to oppose one-sided resolutions there, and to counter efforts to isolate Israel in the international community.
Myth #2: Barack Obama is just as pro-Israel as Bill Clinton or George W. Bush
Obama’s supporters have to get a grip and stop pretending too. Obama isn't Bill Clinton or George W. Bush when it comes to Israel – he’s not even close. Those guys were frustrated by Israeli prime ministers too; but unlike Obama they also were moved and enamored by them (Clinton by Yitzhak Rabin, Bush by Ariel Sharon). They had instinctive, heartfelt empathy for the Israeli narrative and, as a consequence, they could make allowances at times for Israel's behavior, even when it clashed with their own policy goals.
Obama really is different. Part of it is generational. He grew up after the Israeli occupation of the West Bank in a university environment where the Arab-Israeli conflict wasn’t portrayed by Paul Newman in the movie Exodus and where the Arabs were the Indians and the Israelis were the cowboys.

IRAN TENSIONS LOOM OVER ISRAELIS ON JEWISH NEW YEAR
Robert Berger September 17, 2012 - Jews around the world are observing Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year. In Israel, the mood is sober. Rosh Hashanah marks the beginning of the Jewish High Holy Days and is a time of reflection and prayer. Israelis ushered in the New Year with a sense of uncertainty amid tensions with Iran that have heightened fears of war. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had this message for Jews in Israel and around the world. ”I want to wish you all a happy New Year, a happy New Year in your personal lives, a happy New Year for the Jewish people and the Jewish state. The Jewish state and the Jewish people are facing great challenges. Iran is racing to develop nuclear weapons. A rising tide of militancy is sweeping our region,” he said.
Iran says its nuclear program is for peaceful purposes. But it sees Israel as a Zionist enemy.
Netanyahu says Iran could achieve nuclear weapons capability in just six or seven months, something Israel sees as a threat to its existence. Netanyahu has accused the United States of failing to get tough on Iran; and despite strong opposition from Washington and the international community, he has threatened to launch a preemptive strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities. The Obama administration says it is not yet ready to draw a red line concerning Iran and continues to pursue a deepening of international sanctions against Tehran. Continued:

IRAN ADMITS IT DECEIVED THE WEST OVER NUCLEAR PROGRAM
We had no choice, head of Tehran’s atomic energy agency says, since UN watchdog was bent on making accusations stick - By Stuart Winer September 20, 2012, 2:17 pm 13 - Iran deliberately provided false information about its nuclear program to Western investigators and the International Atomic Energy Agency, a senior Iranian official has confirmed.
In an interview published in the London-based daily Al-Hayat on Thursday, Iranian Vice President Fereydoon Abbasi-Davani, who is also the head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), said that misleading facts were used to protect his country’s nuclear program and to disguise some of the technical advances it has made.
He did not elaborate on what specific part of the program was lied about. Israel and much of the West believe Tehran has covered up efforts to build a nuclear weapon.
“Sometimes we pretended to be weaker than we really were, and sometimes we showed strength that was not really in our hands,” Abbasi-Davani said in the interview. “We had no choice.” Abbasi-Davani complained that the attitude of International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) officials sent to review the nature of his country’s nuclear program was that Iran was guilty unless proven otherwise.
The West was leveling accusations against Iran, and the IAEA was determined to corroborate those claims in the same way it was with Saddam Hussein in Iraq, he said.
On Monday, Abbasi-Davani charged that ”terrorists and saboteurs” might have infiltrated the IAEA in an effort to derail his nation’s atomic program. More specifically, he claimed, inspectors had arrived at the underground Fordo uranium enrichment facility on August 17, shortly after power lines were blown up.

HOMELAND SECURITY DEPT. NOW CLAIMS ISRAEL WAS ERRONEOUSLY INCLUDED ON TERROR LIST
Posted on July 7, 2011 at 8:34am by Billy Hallowell - Comments (126)Last week, The Blaze reported on Israel’s placement on a terror watch list assembled by the United States government. Now, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has acknowledged that this selection was made based on “inaccurate information.” According to John Morton, who serves as the director of the department’s U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) division, Israel, a key U.S. ally, was erroneously placed on the DHS list. The nation‘s surprise inclusion appeared in a May 2011 report from ICE’s inspector general. JTA has more:
“The addition of Israel in the OIG’s list of ICE‘s ’Third-Agency Checks’ (TAC) was based on inaccurate information provided to the OIG during the course of its audit,” Morton said in a statement sent by e-mail to JTA.
The U.S. does not and never has considered Israel to have links to terrorism, but rather they are a partner in our efforts to combat global terrorism. The United States maintains close intelligence-sharing relationships with Israel in order to address security issues within its own borders and in our mutual pursuit of safety and security around the globe.” Continued: http://www.theblaze.com/stories/update-homeland-security-dept-now-claims-israel-

UN GENERAL ASSEMBLY SUBJUGATED TO PALESTINE
Israel awaits the dramatic decisions of Palestinian President Abbas - Prologue - The Cross of Bethlehem At the 2012, 67th UN General Assembly, Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu became irrelevant. The most overwhelming sign of this were surprising commentaries in the Hebrew media. Despite its main editors being under Netanyahu’s control, the media's main concern was what will Palestine President Mahmoud Abbas say and do. Politically, Israel became subjugated to Palestine. This was the result of dramatic events surrounding the UN General Debate. Israel publicly lost the support of its main ally—the USA—on the issue of an attack on Iran; it faces a diplomatic attack from its neighbor Egypt, and fears a Palestinian announcement on the dismantlement of the Palestinian Authority. Netanyahu is not the man to face such harsh reality with equanimity; in fact Israel panicked and brought out a confused plan to trick Mahmoud Abbas into delivering a pro-Zionist speech. To fulfill this Machiavellian plan, Israel recruited a Jewish Professor of Law at Harvard Law School. But, I'm rushing ahead.
Prologue: The Entire World is Against Netanyahu
President Obama at UN 67th General Assembly
Apparently, President Obama gave up on the Jewish vote for the imminent U.S. presidential elections. After all, never in American history had this minority decided the election’s fate (see Romney, Obama, and the Israeli Vote). Obama is not well-seen in Israel, where he is a popular target of racist caricatures. According to Hebrew media, Obama and Netanyahu have nil personal relations between them; both gave up on an improvement. This is to such an extent that president Obama gave up not only on the Jewish vote, but also on the Jewish money which is much more influential during a presidential campaign. Oddly enough, this made President Obama free to pursue American interests
In recent months Netanyahu was trying to obtain a formal statement from president Obama regarding the red lines that if crossed by Iran would lead to an attack against it by the USA. The details requested by Netanyahu included uranium enrichment levels and weapons development. One week before the beginning of the UN General Assembly, Netanyahu said “the sooner we establish [red lines], the greater the chances that there won’t be a need for other types of action.” He was referring to military actions by Israel and the USA against Iran. Secretary of State Clinton replied on the same day “we’re not setting deadlines.” This was emphasized by White House spokesman Jay Carney “It is not fruitful as part of this process to engage in that kind of specificity.” In other words, Netanyahu cannot start a war on Iran. He can’t even threat since he obviously lacks support from America. The USA won’t sacrifice two million sons for the sake of Israel’s belligerent goals.
As expanded in UN General Assembly: Egypt hits Israel, the next one to spoil Israel’s game was Egyptian President Mohammad Morsi. In an interview to the New York Times, which preceded his UN speech, he said “If Washington is asking Egypt to honor its treaty with Israel, he said, Washington should also live up to its own Camp David commitment to Palestinian self-rule.” In other words, he politely accused Israel of not honoring the peace agreement. Under such circumstances, Egypt cannot be expected to observe it. Netanyahu faces also a third threat, by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, who is threatening to dismantle the Palestinian Authority if the peace talks with Israel don’t advance. The result of such a step would be a Third Intifada, which will make the first two look like pale rehearsals to it. Sweating profusely, Netanyahu pulled out of a dusty Mossad drawer an unbelievable plan. (BOLD LETTERING ADDED) http://www.roitov.com/articles/unga67israelsubjugated.htm

ISRAELI PEACE PLAN
by Latuf - Netanyahu’s Best Idea - On September 24, 2012, Mahmoud Abbas met American Jewish leaders in New York. Among them was Alan Dershowitz, who is a Felix Frankfurter Professor of Law at Harvard Law School. A supporter of Israel, Dershowitz asked Abbas to adopt the formula he had proposed on June 3, 2012, in a Wall Street Journal editorial and is known as the “Dershowitz Formula.” Less dramatic than its name, it specifies the conditions for the renewal of the negotiations between Israel and Palestine. Israel, American Jews and Dershowitz himself claim he is in a perfect position to make a fair offer that will be accepted by both sides. Considering his Zionist connections, this claim is highly dubious.
The formula was stated by Professor Dershowitz as “Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu should now offer a conditional freeze: Israel will stop all settlement building in the West Bank as soon as the Palestinian Authority sits down at the bargaining table, and the freeze will continue as long as the talks continue in good faith.” As typical in Jewish affairs, oral conditions were included. In the meeting with Abbas, the Jewish leaders requested Abbas to “recognize the Jewish link to Israel.” In other words, the Jewish leaders asked the Palestinians to recognize Israel’s Law of return, which defines automatic citizenship to any Jew arriving at Israel. Typically, Israel never defined accurately “Who is a Jew?” This semantic trap allows the Israeli Administration to do what it pleases, regardless of its own laws.
Why should a Jewish-American law professor be considered a fair facilitator in the renewal of the Palestinian-Israeli talks? Not even he is smart enough to answer this. Moreover, he showed an astounding amount of “chutzpah” - Hebrew for “insolence”—when asking something for nothing. We have been there. Israel froze the settlements’ expansion a million times. Every time it violated the fragile agreement achieved with the Palestinians; the last time this happened was in 2011. There is no reason to believe this time Israel will behave differently. In exchange, Israel requests an important declaration from the Palestinians which would be impossible to deny afterwards.
Netanyahu is trying to distract Abbas, trying to convince him to drop what will probably be an historical speech and replace it with a pro-Zionist speech. Will Abbas succumb to this entrapment attempt?

COULD NETANYAHU GO DOWN WITH ROMNEY?
By Jim Dean - 9.27.2012 - Bibi is now despised in America, really. His attempt to blackmail Obama via, 'give me my Iran attack and you can be president again' revolted Americans for its open contempt. There is talk here now of regime change in Israel.
The snickering at the Israeli UN ambassador as he made his lonely exit during Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s speech was the perfect spotlight on Israel's long career of being a friend to no one and the enemy of all. It was a coordinate snub, to the big snubber of the UN.
Even Americans who were not Obama supporters are looking for a way to get rid of Netanyahu. They don't want to see or ever hear about him anymore. And what makes it worse, there is more talk than ever before about people just fed up with the whole 'Israel thing'... the bus where everybody else has to sit in the back.
The after action reports on Bibi's “red lines” failure are not focusing only on his over the top style. Even in Israel, they are starting to say he bet on the wrong horse. Israelis take a dim view of their president not being able to rig an American election behind the scenes, the way it is supposed to be done. It's a source of national pride, in a warped kind of way.
Politically astute Israelis are openly talking about Romney's political career being over and Bibi needing to reinvent himself to get back into the influence game. Israelis are used to this. If they can't get you one way, they just back off for a while until they have a new plan of attack. With allies like this, 'who needs enemies,' as the saying goes.

EXCLUSIVE: ASSANGE-MOSSAD TIES UNVEILED
By Gordon Duff - 9.27.2012 - The aftermath of the last world altering months may mean life or death, war or peace for millions, perhaps the entire world. Real conflict in Syria, the attempts by others to expand regional conflicts, tribal feuds and ethnic rivalries into war of aggression is becoming openly recognized, perhaps for the first time in history.
Since the days of Machiavelli, war through deception has been the rule but the information age has made deception a more powerful tool than ever imagined.
Perhaps it is time the tables were turned and the “deceivers” were to receive some of the recognition they have, for so long, been denied.
Today’s story will involve Julian Assange, Wikileaks, Israel, and the Mossad. Along with Netanyahu, Assange has tried to insert his way into the American election on the side of a losing candidate whose platform is simply war with Iran. Some explanation is needed.
His recent statement, theoretically to the United Nations, one attacking President Obama, always sparing any mention of Israel or the rights of the Palestinian people, are cheap showmanship, utter lies and a form of “holocaust flag waving” he learned from Netanyahu. ISRAELIS TELL POLL: WAR, THREAT TO ISRAEL EXISTENCE
The survey, conducted by Haaretz at the beginning of the week and published by the Israeli newspaper on Thursday also indicated that the majority of respondents believed that the chance of a conflict with Iran in the new Jewish year, which began last week, was either “medium” or “high.”
The poll, supervised by Tel Aviv University statistician, Professor Camil Fuchs, also showed that only a quarter of the interviewees were not afraid of Israel’s future in the event of a military confrontation with the Islamic Republic.
A September 20 survey by the same paper showed that only 18 percent of Israelis were in favor of a possible Israeli strike against Iran without the support of the United States.
Sixty-five percent of the Israeli respondents also said the Tel Aviv regime would not instigate military action against the Islamic Republic without US backing. The figure is up from 52 percent in June.
The survey also showed that almost five in every six Palestinian and 77 percent of Israelis believed an Israeli strike against Iran would lead to a major conflict in the region. Continued:
