WILDFIRES TEAR ACROSS ISRAEL, NETANYAHU CALLS ARSONISTS 'TERRORISTS'
By Rami Amichai Reuters November 24, 2016 - By Rami Amichai
HAIFA, Israel (Reuters) - Wildfires tore across central and northern Israel on Thursday, forcing tens of thousands of residents to flee the city of Haifa, as leaders blamed arsonists for some of the blazes and branded them terrorists.
Television pictures showed a wall of flames raging through central neighborhoods of Israel's third largest city. Firefighters dowsed a petrol station with water as the blaze edged closer.
The fires have been burning in multiple locations for the past three days but intensified on Thursday, fueled by unseasonably dry weather and strong easterly winds. "Every fire that was caused by arson, or incitement to arson, is terrorism by all accounts. And we will treat it as such," Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told reporters gathered in Haifa. "Whoever tries to burn parts of Israel will be punished for it severely."
Internal Security Minister Gilad Erdan referred to "arson terrorism" and said there had been a small number of arrests, providing no other details. On social media, some Arabs and Palestinians celebrated the fires and the hashtag #Israelisburning was trending on Twitter. "It's likely that where it was arson, it goes in the direction of nationalistic," Police Chief Roni Alsheich told reporters, without going into further detail.
With fires burning in the forests west of Jerusalem, around Haifa, on central and northern hilltops and in parts of the Israeli-occupied West Bank, the government sought assistance from neighboring countries to tackle the conflagration.
Greece, Cyprus, Croatia, Turkey and Russia offered help, with several aircraft already joining efforts to quell the blaze, dropping fire-retardant material to try to douse the heaviest fires and stem their spread.

RABBI PREDICTS TRUMP WILL WIN AND USHER IN THE SECOND COMING
November 4, 2016 - Bob Eschliman - In two separate sets of Bible codes, published three months apart, international Bible codes expert Rabbi Matityahu Glazerson shows evidence he has found that declares Donald J. Trump will win next week's presidential election. Trump's victory, Glazerson said, is directly connected to his support for Israel.
The first table was published in July, the second just last week. He found "Donald" in Hebrew next to the Hebrew word for president. He also found a abbreviation for the Hebrew words for United States.
Glazerson also found codes that point to both Nov. 8 and Nov. 9, the date of the election and the first day Trump would be president-elect, if he wins. The rabbi quotes the book of Isaiah and the story of Cyrus, which has been frequently referenced by evangelical faith leaders who have supported the Republican presidential nominee.
The codes also reference the Hebrew words for "chosen" or "elected" and "love for Israel." Trump has made it clear he has a deep love for Israel and would protect it, if elected next week.
Glazerson also found a connection between Trump and the word "moshiach" (messiah), which in Hebrew means "anointed," saying his election would be connected to the arrival of Messiah. Many Christians have felt the day of the Second Coming is fast approaching, and the rabbi's findings may be further evidence. The first set of codes (above) were found in the book of Deuteronomy. The second, identical, set (below) were found in the book of Numbers.

RABBIS ASK PUTIN AND TRUMP TO HELP BUILD THE THIRD TEMPLE
Friday Church News Notes, November 25, 2016, David Cloud - A group of leading rabbis in Israel have sent a letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President-elect Donald Trump urging them to work together to rebuild the Third Temple in Jerusalem ("Rabbis Urge Trump, Putin," Israel Today, Nov. 15, 2016). Rabbi Hillel Weiss, a spokesman for the Sanhedrin, said Israel "is poised to rebuild the Temple." He likened this present time to that of 2,500 years ago when Cyrus of Persia helped build the Second Temple. In truth, the Third Temple will be built during the early reign of the Antichrist. Revelation 11 describes the measuring of the Temple when the Two Witnesses preach in Jerusalem to proclaim Christ's soon-coming kingdom. This is the first half of Daniel's 70th Week (Dan. 9:24-27). The Antichrist will come on the scene with his unprecedented peace program and will make it possible for the Temple to be built. It will be occupied by the Antichrist half way through Daniel's 70th Week when he proclaims himself as God. Christ said the Antichrist will stand in the holy place, referring to the rebuilt Temple (Matthew 24:15). Paul prophesied that the Antichrist will sit "in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God" (2 Thessalonians 2:4). http://www.wayoflife.org

General Assembly Plenary General Assembly -Plenary
Seventy-first Session, 50th Meeting (AM)
GA/11861 November 30, 2016 - Seventy-first Session, 50th Meeting (AM)
Urging Concerted Action to Revive Peace Talks, General Assembly Adopts Six Resolutions on Question of Palestine, Situation in Middle East
The General Assembly today adopted six resolutions on Palestinian and Middle East issues, ranging from Jerusalem to the United Nations special information programme on the question of Palestine.
The Assembly adopted a resolution on the peaceful settlement of the question of Palestine (document A/71/L.21) by a recorded vote of 153 in favour to 7 against (Canada, Federated States of Micronesia, Israel, Marshall Islands, Nauru, Palau, United States), with 7 abstentions (Australia, Cameroon, Honduras, Papua New Guinea, Paraguay, Tonga, Vanuatu). By the terms of the resolution, the Assembly called for the intensification of efforts by the parties, including through negotiations, with the support of the international community, towards the conclusion of a final peace settlement.
The Assembly also adopted a resolution on Jerusalem (document A/71/L.22) by a recorded vote of 149 in favour to 7 against (Canada, Federated States of Micronesia, Israel, Marshall Islands, Nauru, Palau, United States), with 8 abstentions (Australia, Cameroon, Guatemala, Honduras, Panama, Papua New Guinea, Paraguay, Vanuatu). By its terms, the Assembly reiterated its determination that any actions taken by Israel, the occupying Power, to impose its laws, jurisdiction and administration on the Holy City of Jerusalem were illegal and therefore null and void and had no validity whatsoever, and called upon Israel to immediately cease all such illegal and unilateral measures. The Assembly also stressed that a comprehensive, just and lasting solution to the question of the City of Jerusalem should take into account the legitimate concerns of both the Palestinian and Israeli sides.
By the terms of a resolution on the Syrian Golan (document A/71/L.8), the Assembly demanded that Israel withdraw from all the occupied territory to the line of 4 June 1967 and called on all parties concerned to exert the necessary efforts to ensure the resumption of the peace process. That resolution received 103 in favour to 6 against (Canada, Federated States of Micronesia, Israel, Marshall Islands, Palau, United States), with 56 abstentions.
In adopting a resolution on the Special Information Programme on the Question of Palestine of the Department of Public Information of the Secretariat (document A/71/L.20), the Assembly renewed the Department’s mandate. It also requested the Department to disseminate information on all activities relating to the question of Palestine and peace efforts and to organize and promote fact-finding news missions for journalists to the Occupied Palestinian Territories, including East Jerusalem, and Israel. That text garnered 153 votes in favour to 7 against (Australia, Canada, Federated States of Micronesia, Israel, Marshall Islands, Palau, United States), with 7 abstentions (Cameroon, Honduras, Nauru, Paraguay, Togo, Tonga, Vanuatu).
The Assembly also adopted a resolution on the Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People (A/71/L.18), as orally revised, by a recorded vote of 100 in favour to 9 against (Australia, Canada, Federated States of Micronesia, Guatemala, Israel, Marshall Islands, Nauru, Palau, United States), with 55 abstentions, and a resolution on the Division for Palestinian Rights of the Secretariat (document A/71/L.19), with 98 in favour to 9 against (Australia, Canada, Federated States of Micronesia, Guatemala, Israel, Marshall Islands, Nauru, Palau, United States), with 57 abstentions.
The Permanent Observer of Palestine said the adoption of the six resolutions by an overwhelming majority of United Nations Member States was a reflection of the longstanding international consensus in favour of achieving a just, lasting and peaceful solution to the question of Palestine. It was also a clear reaffirmation of the international community’s consensus on the two-State solution, which was now in grave peril due to Israel’s actions. The despair and hopelessness of the Palestinian people was increasing as the fiftieth year of the illegal Israeli occupation approached, he said.
The representative of Israel said the resolutions had not only failed to promote dialogue or build trust, they had also created an organizational infrastructure that had abused funding to allow anti-Israel activities to take place under the auspices of the United Nations. Supporting the resolutions and the inherent bias against Israel would not advance the cause of peace, but instead make peace harder to achieve. The Special Information Programme on the Question of Palestine offered a misleading narrative of the region and circulated prejudiced materials under the banner of the United Nations, undermining the Organization’s integrity and impartiality. It was baffling how the United Nations, which continued to face a severe budgetary deficit, had spent approximately $6.5 million a year on bodies that were dedicated solely to promoting the Palestinian narrative, she said. http://www.un.org/press/en/2016/ga11861.doc.htm

ONLY FEW PEOPLE FROM EITHER PARTY EXPECTED DONALD TRUMP TO BE ELECTED
Baruch Stein - The writer has a BA in Political Science from Penn State University, with minors in Middle Eastern Studies and Jewish Studies. He has been living in Jerusalem for more than six years.
Few people from either party expected Donald Trump to be elected, but the presidential transition is already well underway, and Barack Obama seems to have digested the situation and gotten over the shock.
Regardless of any criticism of his performance or the reforms, policies, and doctrine that have characterized his presidency, and regardless of any adjustments that Hillary Clinton might have made, until the outcome was final Obama could have expected that a Clinton presidency would, on the whole, continue along in the same general direction that he has taken the country and world. Until the outcome was final Obama might have even hoped that Clinton would inherit a Democratic majority in the Senate.
Prior to election night, fears of a lame duck Hail Mary directed at Israel may have been somewhat alleviated by statements from the Obama administration, but prior to election night, there was little reason to expect Trump to win.
This might be a good time for a Democrat to panic. For a Democratic president facing the imminent inauguration of a Republican president, and a Republican Congress, and the installation of cabinet secretaries and ambassadors (say to the UN, and to Israel) who will hold radically different views of the world, there is little to do other than sit and prepare to watch everything you have built and everything you believe in crumble, especially when the current Congress is already controlled by Republicans.
There is not much that can be done to preserve Obamacare. Merrick Garland’s hopes have been dashed. It is only a matter of time before America’s immigration policies are rewritten.
What does Obama have left in this world? He has a gripe with the Prime Minister of Israel, and a UN determined to embarrass Israel in every possible way. He has a France bent on taking credit for creating a Palestinian state, backed in the effort by Europe, the Arab world, and others. He has a Secretary of State who has not yet gotten a Nobel Prize, an activist UN ambassador itching to reorder the world as she sees fit, a legacy of failure in Syria, Ukraine, and, many believe, Iran.
Palestinian statehood was not a major objective for Clinton. It is something she believes in, but when Arafat walked away from Camp David in 2000 the Clintons lost confidence in the Middle East.
Prior to election night, fears of a lame duck Hail Mary directed at Israel may have been somewhat alleviated by statements from the Obama administration, but prior to election night, there was little reason to expect Trump to win.
A Clinton presidency would have at least preserved the concept of Palestinian statehood. And now?

'HE KNOWS THE REGION, KNOWS THE PEOPLE, KNOWS THE PLAYERS'

President-elect Donald Trump said Tuesday he would “love” to clinch a deal to end the intractable conflict between Israel and the Palestinians, despite the checkered history of US attempts to broker a Middle East peace agreement.
“I would love to be the one who made peace with Israel and the Palestinians, that would be such a great achievement,” Trump said in a meeting with staffers from The New York Times. “Because nobody’s been able to do it,” he said.
Trump added that though “really great people” have told him it is “impossible” to make peace between Israel and the Palestinians, “I disagree, I think you can make peace. I think people are tired now of being shot, killed. At some point, when do they come? I think we can do that. I have reason to believe I can do that.”
A New York Times reporter tweeted that Trump also suggested that his son-in-law Jared Kushner could help broker the deal. US-brokered talks between Israel and the Palestinians, led by US Secretary of State John Kerry, ended in failure two and a half years ago. Asked whether Kushner “can be part” of the peacemaking effort, Trump said: “Well, I think he’d be very good at it. I mean he knows it so well. He knows the region, knows the people, knows the players.” http://www.timesofisrael.com/trump-would-love-to-broker-peace-between-palestinians-israel/

PRESIDENT-ELECT WILL RELOCATE EMBASSY FROM TEL AVIV. 'HE'S A MAN WHO KEEPS HIS WORD'
Trump adviser: He doesn’t see settlements as peace obstacle. Jason Greenblatt says president-elect won’t force Israel, Palestinians to negotiate; will move US embassy to Jerusalem
By Stuart Winer - November 10, 2016 - President-elect Donald Trump’s top adviser on Israel said Thursday that the incoming US leader doesn’t see Jewish settlements in the West Bank as obstacle to peace with the Palestinians, and predicted Trump would keep his campaign promise to move the US embassy to Jerusalem - essentially recognizing the holy city as Israel’s capital.
Successive US administrations have maintained that Israeli settlements in the West Bank are illegal and their presence and continued expansion are major stumbling blocks in the path to reaching a peace agreement.
But Trump, Jason Greenblatt told Army Radio, believes Israelis and Palestinians should resolve their differences without the world imposing a peace plan on them.
“Mr. Trump does not view the settlements as an obstacle to peace. I think he would show Gaza as proof of that,” Greenblatt said, referring to Israel’s 2005 unilateral withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, which included the removal of all Jewish settlements from the coastal enclave.

MIKE HUCKABEE SAID TO BE U.S. ENVOY TO ISRAEL, TASKED WITH MOVING EMBASSY TO JERUSALEM
Ex-Arkansas governor meets Trump; transition source says Huckabee, a bitter opponent of Palestinian nationalism, ‘is going to see through’ embassy relocation
By Times of Israel staff and Stuart Winer November 18, 2016 - November 24, 2016 Heshvan 23, 5777 - President-elect Donald Trump is reportedly sending former Arkansas governor and failed Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee to be his ambassador to Israel, where Huckabee will be charged with overseeing the relocation of the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
Britain’s Daily Mail on Friday quoted an unnamed source in the Trump transition team confirming both the appointment and that the embassy move would be a first item of business for ambassador Huckabee. “That’s going to happen,” the transition source said. “Governor Huckabee is going to see it through.” Huckabee met with Trump on Friday at Trump Tower in New York City, but did not comment on the rumors of his posting to Israel, and there was no official confirmation from the Trump team. “I’m just here for the Starbucks,” Huckabee quipped before going into his meetings. http://www.timesofisrael.com/mike-huckabee-said-set-to-be-us-envoy-to-israel-tasked-with-moving-embassy-to-jerusalem/

Nikki Haley last year signed legislation that bans boycott of Jewish state; appointment makes her first woman in top post in new administration

WASHINGTON — President-elect Donald Trump has chosen South Carolina’s pro-Israel governor Nikki Haley as US ambassador to the United Nations. nikky haley.jpg
Haley has accepted the cabinet-level position, becoming the first woman tapped for a top-level administration post during his White House transition so far.
“Governor Haley has a proven track record of bringing people together regardless of background or party affiliation to move critical policies forward for the betterment of her state and our country,” Trump said in a release Wednesday. “She is also a proven deal-maker, and we look to be making plenty of deals. She will be a great leader representing us on the world stage.”
Last year, Haley brought in state-wide legislation that targets those supporting a boycott of Israel. Although the law does not mention Israel by name, it does state that public bodies “may not enter into a contract with a business… unless the contract includes a representation that the business is not currently engaged in, and an agreement that the business will not engage in, the boycott of a person or an entity based in or doing business with a jurisdiction with whom South Carolina can enjoy open trade.”

PA: WE'LL MAKE LIFE MISERABLE FOR TRUMP IF HE MOVES EMBASSY
PA's UN envoy says the PA will act at the UN if President-elect follows through on his promise to move the American Embassy to Jerusalem.
Elad Benari, November 13, 2016 - If President-elect Donald Trump follows through on his promise to move the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem, the Palestinian Arabs will “make life miserable” for the United States at the United Nations, the Palestinian Authority’s ambassador to the United Nations is threatening.
“If people attack us by moving the embassy to Jerusalem, which is a violation of Security Council resolutions, it is a violation of resolution 181 of the UN general assembly that was drafted by the U.S. … it means they are showing belligerency towards us … If they do that nobody should blame us for unleashing all of the weapons that we have in the UN to defend ourselves and we have a lot of weapons in the UN,” the envoy, Riyad Mansour, said on Friday, according to Haaretz.
Mansour said that the Palestinian Authority response to a move of the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem could not be a Security Council resolution because the United States would veto it.
“Maybe I can't have resolutions in the Security Council but I can make their lives miserable every day with precipitating a veto on my admission as a member state. Italy in 1949 received 3 consecutive vetoes on its admission to the UN from the Soviet Union. These are the kind of things that I can do,” he threatened.

KISSINGER: TO PREVENT REGIONAL EXPLOSION, US MUST THWART IRANIAN EXPANSIONISM
Barney Breen-Portnoy - November 11, 2016
The biggest challenge facing the Middle East is the “potential domination of the region by an Iran that is both imperial and jihadist,” former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger said at a New York City gathering on Thursday.
“[America must] make it clear that we are opposed to a further territorial expansion of Iran and what we are asking of the Iranians is to act like a nation, and not like crusaders,” Kissinger stated in remarks made at the America-Israel Friendship League’s 2016 Partners for Democracy Awards Dinner, where the 93-year-old statesman was the guest of honor. “What we have to see to is that Iran does not achieve such a dominant position that the whole region explodes.” Referring to the results of Tuesday’s presidential election, Kissinger described Republican Donald Trump’s poll-defying victory over Democrat Hillary Clinton a “revolution against conventional wisdom.”

IRAN EXPERT: ISLAMIC REPUBLIC FEARS IT COULD BE THE 'BIG LOSER' FROM TRUMP'S VICTORY
Barney Breen-Portnoy - Iran fears it could be the “big loser” from Donald Trump’s surprising victory over Hillary Clinton in Tuesday’s presidential election, an expert on the Islamic Republic told The Algemeiner on Thursday.
“I think the reactions we’ve seen from Iran - the urging of Trump to maintain the nuclear deal, the warning that he can’t roll it back - suggest that they’re worried about the fact that existing US policy, which is very favorable to Iran, could change pretty substantially over the course of the next several months,” Ilan Berman - of the Washington, DC-based conservative think tank the American Foreign Policy Council - said.
Looking ahead at what Trump’s Iran policy might be, Berman noted, “You need to figure out what’s going to change and what’s not going to change. What’s not going to change, unfortunately, is the nuclear deal itself, because even though Trump has talked a lot about renegotiating or rolling back the deal, the reality is that the lion’s share of the benefits from the deal have already been conferred to Iran. Also, the deal is multilateral, so even if the US walks away, it doesn’t mean that our partners in the P5+1 will do so as well.”

“So if the deal is going to be with us in some fashion for some time,” Berman continued, “we have to be thinking seriously about what comes next. And what comes next, hopefully, is a strategy that pushes back against a rising Iran regionally. This will require military resources, political will and, frankly, a more forward stance on responding to Iranian proxies like Hezbollah.” https://www.algemeiner.com/2016/11/10/iran-expert-islamic-republic-fears-it-could-be-the-big-loser-

FIRST PUBLIC PRAYER FOR PRESIDENT TRUMP HELD IN JERUSALEM

RABBI TULY WEISZ, DIRECTOR OF ISRAEL365 AND PUBLISHER OF BREAKING ISRAEL NEWS OFFERED THE FIRST PUBLIC PRAYER FOR PRESIDENT-ELECT DONALD TRUMP IN JERUSALEM AT THE BRIDGES FOR PEACE SOLIDARITY CONFERENCE
“And He changeth the times and the seasons; He removeth kings, and setteth up kings; He giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding.” Daniel 2:21 (The Israel Bible™)
Rabbi Weisz spoke at the Bridges for Peace gathering in Jerusalem. Entering the hall, he was informed that Donald Trump had just been elected President of the United States.
Following the contentious campaign which left many wondering what had become of the democratic process in America, it was clear that the diverse group of over 100 mostly Christian participants from eight nations, were anxiously waiting words of clarity from Rabbi Weisz.
With UNESCO’s recent endorsement that Jews and Christians have no connection to the Temple Mount and continued negative reports about the Holy Land, the event was called “Encountering the Truth About Israel: 40 Year Celebration of the Dispatch From Jerusalem”. http://www.breakingisraelnews.com/78321/first-public-prayer-president-trump-held-jerusalem-watch/
