FIRST EVER ISRAELI-RUSSIAN WAR GAME IS COMING
DEBKA FILE Exclusive Report June 10, 2016 - Russian President Vladimir Putin and Israeli Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu decided at their June 7 meeting in Moscow to deepen the military ties between the Russian and Israeli armed forces, debkafile reports exclusively from is military and intelligence sources. It was a historic decision that spells the end of the IDF’s unique relationship with the US military. The head of the IDF’s military intelligence branch, Maj. Gen. Hertzi Halevi, and Mossad chief Yossi Cohen also participated in the meeting.
Our sources report that Putin and Netanyahu decided that a joint exercise by the Israeli and Russian naval and air forces will be held this summer as part of the first stage of expanded ties. It will mark the first time in modern Middle East military history that Russian military planes take off from an Arab country, Syria’s Hmeymim airbase, and Russian warships sail out of their bases in Tartus and Latakia, for joint maneuvers with the Israeli air force and navy.
debkafile’s military sources add that, ahead of the exercise, the joint mechanism that coordinates Russian and Israeli air flights in Syrian airspace will be expanded.
According to those sources, the bilateral decision for the joint war game was tied to an agreement to allow Russian gas companies to compete for contracts to develop Israel’s Leviathan and Tamar offshore gas fields. Netanyahu said June 7 in Moscow, “Our doors are open now to all companies from all countries that have substantial experience in developing gas fields, including Russia of course.”
Putin had tried repeatedly to win a foothold for Russian companies, especially energy giant Gazprom, in the development of Israel’s offshore gas fields and export industry. The Russian leader tried to convince Netanyahu by saying that the presence of the Russian navy and air force in the area would guarantee that no Arab or Muslim military force, such as those of Iran, Syria and Hizballah, would attack the gas fields.

COMING: JOINT RUSSIAN-ISRAELI WARGAMES?
By The Daily Coin · June 13, 2016 - First Ever Israeli-Russian War Game is Coming - In this article a great deal more information is offered about those recent talks between Mr. Putin and Mr. Netanyahu, and about their expanding ties; consider only the geopolitical earthquakes of the opening paragraphs: Russian President Vladimir Putin and Israeli Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu decided at their June 7 meeting in Moscow to deepen the military ties between the Russian and Israeli armed forces, debkafilereports exclusively from is military and intelligence sources. It was a historic decision that spells the end of the IDF’s unique relationship with the US military.

It is to be noted that in his list of potential threats, Mr. Putin mentions Iran, Syria, and Hezbollah(Hizbollah), but it does not take much imagination to see that behind the carefully couched diplomatic language, he might as well have mentioned the government of Ottomaniac Tayyip Erdogan, ISIS, and Saudi Arabia, all of which, as others have noted, have their own unique ties to the USA.

SAUDI ARABIA PROUD OF SHARIAH, SEEKS END TO BRUTALITIES OF ISRAEL, ASSAD
ARAB NEWS - June 14, 2016 GENEVA: The Kingdom is proud of following the Islamic Shariah law, which guarantees the citizens an honorable life and country prosperity and development. The remark was made by Faisal Trad, Saudi Arabia’s permanent representative at the UN, on the opening day of the UN Human Rights Council on Monday. The 32nd round of talks will continue till July 1, SPA reported. “Vision 2030 embodies a guarantee of the keenness of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and his government on a better future for the nation and its people at all levels,” he said. Trad renewed his call to the world community to take the necessary measures to end the human rights violations in the world, and cited the sufferings of the Palestinian people due to the Israeli occupation of their territories for more than 60 years. “It is time Israel is held accountable for brutal war crimes against the Palestinian people,” he added.
Trad also raised the Syria issue and wondered as to how long the world community would remain silent to the atrocities being committed on the Syrian people by the brutal regime of Bashar Assad.

NETANYAHU REBUKES ABBAS FOR BRUSSELS SPEECH 'BLOOD LIBEL', SAYS PALESTINIAN AUTHORITY PRESIDENT 'SHOWED HIS TRUE FACE'
By Barney Breen-Portnoy - June 23, 2016 - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a scathing rebuke of Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas on Thursday, hours after the latter delivered a venomous anti-Israel address at the European Parliament in Brussels. Abbas’ speech came on the heels of his refusal to meet with Israeli President Reuven Rivlin, who was also in Brussels this week. Abbas “showed his true face in Brussels,” a Netanyahu spokesman told The Algemeiner. “He, who refuses to meet President Reuven Rivlin and Prime Minister Netanyahu for direct negotiations and spreads a blood libel at the European Parliament, falsely claims his hand is extended for peace.”
“Israel is waiting for the day Abbas will stop spreading lies and engaging in incitement. Until then, Israel will continue to defend itself against Palestinian incitement, which fuels terrorism.”

NEW TURKISH PRIME MINISTER TRIES TO MEND RELATIONS WITH ISRAEL, OTHER NATIONS
June 17, 2016 - New Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim. Credit: Wikimedia Commons.
JNS.org – New Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim has conveyed a reconciliatory message to four countries with which Turkey has had strained relations, including Israel. “Israel, Syria, Russia, Egypt…There can’t be any permanent enmities between these countries encircling Black Sea and the Mediterranean. An incident happened with Russia. We of course won’t allow the violation of our right to sovereignty. However, it’s not right to stick to a single incident,” Yildirim said, referring to the fallout between his country and Russia after Turkey downed a Russian plane that violated Turkish airspace in November 2015, according to the Hurriyet Daily News.
Yildirim, who replaced resigned Turkish prime minister Ahmet Davutoglu in May, also said, “We are coming to a point with Israel. They are also showing will. There are contacts. It’s not concluded yet. I don’t think it will take long. The determinative thing here is eliminating the isolation of Gaza for humanitarian purposes.”
Turkey and Israel have had strained relations since the 2010 Gaza flotilla incident, in which nine Turkish militants were killed in clashes after they attacked Israeli commandos who boarded a ship that was trying to breach the blockade on Gaza. But more recently, the Turkish government offered condolences to Israel after the March 2016 suicide bombing in Istanbul, in which three Israeli tourists were killed. The Turkish gesture was viewed as signaling a shift in Turkey’s outlook on the Jewish state.

CHRISTIANS, MUSLIMS AND JEWS TO BUILD JOINT HOUSE OF WORSHIP IN JERUSALEM
In theory, this should not be a big deal: men and women of faith, who share a belief in one God and a love for the city of Jerusalem, coming together to pray, study and sing. In practice, it is about as plausible as a snowball’s chance in the desert. But, for one week in September, a small structure of four walls and a bit of balcony, called the Alpert Youth Music Center will become AMEN, a home for something that has never before been attempted in the Holy City – a place of worship for the three great monotheistic religions “who share a passion for Jerusalem in which they will co-exist temporarily under the wings of the Almighty.”
Under the radar, away from the public eye, a small clutch of religious leaders have been gathering for years to believe, to hope and to reconnect via the atavistic language of faith. The experiment, of which the public will see merely the tip of the iceberg in the weeklong joint house of worship, is no less a turning inwards towards an ancestral form of communion than it is an explicit turning away from the polarization and vulgarity of contemporary political discourse. Speaking with The Media Line, Tamar Elad-Appelbaum, the rabba (feminine form of rabbi) and founder of the Zion synagogue community in Jerusalem, told The Media Line “This sort of thing is very natural for an entire sector of the public. You pray together. It goes back to the most ancient ways people here in this city prayed, and prayed communally, so communicated. Today we live in categories that, frankly, we could do without.” http://www.jpost.com/Israel-News/Christians-Muslims-and-Jews-to-build-joint-house-of-worship-in-Jerusalem-457837

MUNICIPALITY NEAR PARIS PASSES MOTION DECLARING ISRAELI SETTLEMENT GOODS
The motion follows a string of convictions against promoters of the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions, or BDS, movement against Israel in France.
PARIS — A municipality near the French capital passed a motion declaring a boycott of Israeli settlement goods and vowing further research and labeling on other products from the Jewish state. The council of Bondy, located north of Paris, whose mayor, Sylvine Thomassin, belongs to French President Francois Hollande’s Socialist Party, passed the resolution with only five objections last week on June 23, the news website Rezo Citoyen reported on Saturday. “The Municipal Council of Bondy decided to no longer buy products from Israeli settlements,” read the motion, which had only five objections. It also called for the application of European Commission regulations introduced in November, that require separate labeling for all settlement goods entering the European Union. The regulations so far are only enforced in Belgium, Britain and Denmark.
As long as the regulations are not applied in France, Bondy’s municipal council will “research prior to purchase the origin of products not clearly indicated.”

THE BEGINNING OF THE END OF THE ABBAS ERA
By Avi Issacharoff July 5, 2016 - A rise in terrorism, and internal Palestinian violence, underline the growing instability in the West Bank — and the sense of an imminent leadership change
Here is a name that most of us have not heard in quite a while: Ahmed Qurei, also known as Abu Alaa. However improbably, he is currently the hottest of the possible successors to Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen).
Abu Alaa, a former PA prime minister (2003-6), is not even a member of Fatah’s leadership — its Central Committee. Yet he is widely touted in Ramallah as a temporary appointee (the operative word here being “temporary”), acceptable to the upper echelon of Fatah and the PLO. One of his key advantages: He’ll turn 80 in March (Abbas is 81), and wouldn’t likely fill the post for long, enabling a longer-term leader to emerge from the still mostly covert battles over the succession that Fatah’s highest-ranking members are waging.
Formally, if the Palestinian president should be unable to continue in office, the speaker of the Palestinian Legislative Council (parliament) is supposed to take his place for 60 days until general elections are held. But the speaker of the parliament is Sheikh Aziz Dweik, a member of Hamas. Formally, for that matter, parliament is supposed to confirm the speaker’s appointment to office every year. But parliament has not actually convened for nine years.
These little hiccups have produced an alternative plan: With the speaker a non-starter to fill in for Abbas, the thinking in Ramallah right now is that the PLO chairman could hold the fort until elections are held. (Which could be a very long time, since Israel would almost certainly oppose both Hamas participation in elections and any voting in East Jerusalem, without either of which the Palestinians would probably not go ahead.) http://www.timesofisrael.com/israel-and-the-region/

ALL ISRAELIS WILL BE REQUIRED TO JOIN BIOMETRIC DATABASE STARTING IN 2017
Israelis Will Be Required To Join Biometric Database Starting In 2017 “Israel is joining many other countries around the world which have concluded that their citizens should have smart and secure documentation. With all the attempts by various organizations to steal identities, it’s important to have a smart and reliable document,” Dery added. At the end of the ceremony he issued himself one.
by Geoffrey Grider July 3, 2016
Interior Minister Arye Dery announced on Thursday that starting next year, joining the biometric database will be obligatory.
“And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.” Revelation 13:16,17 (KJV)
“From now on anyone obtaining a document from the Interior Ministry, whether an ID card or a passport, will receive a biometric one. We’ve decided on having this database and we’ll soon decide what will be included in it,” Dery said at a ceremony marking the millionth person to join the biometric database, which was held at the new Population and Immigration Authority office in south Tel Aviv.
“Israel is joining many other countries around the world which have concluded that their citizens should have smart and secure documentation. With all the attempts by various organizations to steal identities, it’s important to have a smart and reliable document,” Dery added. At the end of the ceremony he issued himself one.

LONDON'S MUSLIMS GATHER ON AL-QUDS DAY TO PROTEST THE EXISTENCE OF THE STATE OF ISRAEL
Quds Day, also know as Al-Quds day, is an annual international event held towards the end of Ramadan. It has been marked globally since being inaugurated in 1979 by Ayatollah Khomeini, who asked for the last Friday in the Islamic holy month of Ramadan to be set aside as a day for uniting against Israel and showing support for Palestinians.
Muslims were joined by self-loathing Jews in the rally against Zionism that started near BBC Broadcasting House in Portland Place, central London, at around 3.30pm.
“Let them all be confounded and turned back that hate Zion.” Psalm 129:5 (KJV)
Pro-Palestinian protestors were met by a counter-demonstration in support of Israel outside the US Embassy. A few hundred pro-Israel demonstrators and the opposing march exchanged a battle of words while lines of police kept them physically separated. http://www.nowtheendbegins.com/thousands-londons-muslims-gather-al-quds-day-protest-existence-state-israel/

IRANIAN COMMANDER WARNS: "TENS OF THOUSANDS" OF MISSILES SPREAD ACROSS ISLAMIC WORLD READY TO STRIKE ISRAEL AT MOMENTS NOTICE
July 1, 2016 - Tens of thousands of missiles located across the Middle East are ready to strike Israel at a moment’s notice, a senior Iranian commander threatened on Friday according to the country’s semi-official news agency Tasnim.
“Today, the grounds for the annihilation and collapse of the Zionist regime (of Israel) are provided more than ever,” threatened Lieutenant Commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corp (IRGC) Brigadier General Hossein Salami during weekly Friday prayers in Tehran.
The IRGC commander warned that should the “Zionists” not learn from their past mistakes, “Today, more than 100,000 missiles are ready to fly from Lebanon,” adding that in addition there are “tens of thousands of destructive long-range missiles” in the region ready to wipe Israel off the map. “If the Zionists make a wrong move, all the occupied territories will come under attack from dedicated fighters, and God willing, the territories will be liberated,” he said. Salami’s comments came amidst massive rallies held in Iran marking international Al-Quds Day. Thousands of Iranians filled the streets throughout the country, carrying placards and chanting slogans against Israel and the US — including “Death to America” and “Death to Israel” — and burning American and Israeli flags.

UN ‘DEEPLY DISAPPOINTED' BY ISRAEL'S NEW WEST BANK CONSTRUCTION
By AFP and Times of Israel staff July 5, 2016 - Ban Ki-moon urges Jerusalem to ‘halt and reverse’ plan for hundreds of new homes that ‘raises questions’ about its intentions.
The West Bank settlement of Ma'ale Adumim, east of Jerusalem, July 29, 2015 - The UN leader is “deeply disappointed” that Israel’s announcement came days after last week’s release of a key report by the Middle East diplomatic quartet — the United States, European Union, Russia and the United Nations — that urged Israel to stop building settlements, Stephane Dujarric said in a statement. “This raises legitimate questions about Israel’s long-term intentions, which are compounded by continuing statements of some Israeli ministers calling for the annexation of the West Bank,” he added.
Ban said that “settlements are illegal under international law” and called on the Israeli government to “halt and reverse such decisions in the interest of peace and a just final status agreement.”
On Sunday night, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman approved hundreds of new housing units in Ma’ale Adumim and Jerusalem. Israel regards East Jerusalem, which it annexed after the 1967 war, as part of its unified, sovereign capital.
The move came in response to the killing of Hallel Yaffa Ariel, 13, who was stabbed to death by a Palestinian while sleeping in her bed on Thursday, and to the shooting of Rabbi Miki Mark and the injuring of his family as they were driving near Hebron a day later. Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon on Monday joined several other ministers and Knesset members who have demanded the government authorize new buildings in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in response to the recent uptick in terror attacks.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu (right) and Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon (left) at the weekly cabinet meeting in Jerusalem, June 13, 2016. (Marc Israel Sellem/Pool)
Kahlon, head of the center-right Kulanu party, opened a meeting of his party by speaking about the importance of continued construction.
“Indeed, now we must make clear to the other side — terror will not uproot [us]. We cannot be content with words alone. We have no other choice but to build now and build a lot. At the end of the week, I went to the prime minister and demanded that he stop the construction freeze in Jerusalem,” said Kahlon.
“The murder of a sleeping girl and the gunfire at passing cars have the same goal, to sow terror and fear and to force people to leave their homes. It is important to make it clear to the murderers that the future of building in the West Bank will be decided by negotiations and not by force,” said Kahlon.
Hallel Yaffa Ariel, 13, who was killed in a stabbing attack in her bedroom in the West Bank settlement of Kiryat Arba, June 30, 2016. Kahlon claimed that Netanyahu had imposed a de facto moratorium on Jewish building in East Jerusalem, saying it had harmed the country’s interests. “We must tell the truth. Jerusalem has suffered over the past several years from a silent building freeze,” Kahlon said. “We freeze, but they [the Palestinians] incite; we freeze, but they murder. I support the prime minister’s decision to build in Ma’ale Adumim and I hope that this will be carried out.”
Netanyahu came under fire earlier Monday from a number of lawmakers for permitting building of Arab homes in the East Jerusalem neighborhood of Beit Safafa, without parallel building in the adjacent Givat Hamatos neighborhood.
Kulanu MK Rachel Azaria, a former deputy mayor of Jerusalem, said the de facto freeze had adversely affected the city.
Kulanu party MK Rachel Azaria during a Knesset committee meeting, October 26, 2015.
“This silent building freeze in Jerusalem is preventing the growth of Jerusalem and her citizens,” Azaria said. “Young people are forced to leave the city… We cannot have a situation where they announce building in the West Bank, but in Jerusalem there is a freeze.” The Kulanu criticism appeared to be aimed at the government’s decision to only approve housing in response to terror attacks. Earlier in the day, Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat criticized what he said was the trend of only okaying East Jerusalem building in response to attacks.
“In Jerusalem, there is and will continue to be a Jewish majority,” he said. “It is a mistake to approve construction in Jerusalem only after a terror attack. We need to build in Jerusalem always.” He vowed that the municipality will continue to advance construction in the capital according to the city’s master plan for development. Israel captured East Jerusalem in 1967 and effectively annexed it shortly after, in a move not recognized internationally. The government says it reserves the right to build anywhere in the capital, although construction announcements often draw international condemnation.

MAHMOUD AHMADINEJAD REPORTEDLY TO RUN AGAIN FOR IRANIAN PRESIDENCY IN 2017
JNS.org - June 29, 2016 - Former Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad might run in Iran’s spring 2017 presidential elections. Photo: Wikimedia Commons. Former Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has reportedly announced that he will run in Iran’s spring 2017 presidential elections.
The former speaker for Ahmadinejad’s government, Gholam-Hossein Elham, had informed the Iranian election board of Ahmadinejad’s intention to run for the office, according to a report in the Iranian reformist newspaper Shargh.
Ahmadinejad, who served two terms as president from 2005-2013, on Monday made his first public appearance since leaving office for a speech at the Narmak mosque in Tehran. During his tenure as president, Ahmadinejad was noted for his hardline positions, his denial of the Holocaust, and his tirades against Israel — including calls to wipe Israel off the map.
A source close to the former Iranian leader, however, denied that Ahmadinejad would run again for president.
“What is being said about Ahmadinejad’s intention to put forward his candidacy at the presidential election is inaccurate information. It is too early to talk about anyone’s plans to stand for the presidency,” the source told Russia’s state-run Sputnik news agency.

US OFFICIAL IN TESTIMONY TO SENATE COMMITTEE: FACING TERRITORIAL LOSSES, WEAKENED MORALE, ISIS SETTING SIGHTS ON ISRAEL
June 29, 2016 - With the Islamic State (ISIS) incurring territorial losses in Syria and Iraq — and suffering weakened morale as a result — the jihadist terror group is now setting its sights on Israel, a US official said on Tuesday. In testimony to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee about global efforts to defeat ISIS, Brett McGurk — US Special Presidential Envoy for the Global Coalition to Counter ISIL (the acronym used by the White House) — warned that as coalition forces “root out an ISIL presence in the SW tri-border region of Syria adjacent to Jordan and the Golan Heights…[ISIL has] focused on Israel as a target.” McGurk said this change in strategy — which is partially driven by heavy “losses on the battlefield” — is a result of the terror group’s “hop[e] to generate international headlines to compensate for its defeats.”

TO ISRAEL'S DISMAY, EU MINISTERS EXPECTED TO BACK FRENCH PEACE PUSH
European states ‘ignoring’ Jerusalem’s objections despite preferring direct talks, official says ahead of meeting
By Times of Israel staff and AFP June 19, 2016 - French peace initiative - Israeli-Palestinian peace talks - EU European Union
The European Union’s foreign ministers are to meet Monday to vote in support of the French peace initiative, a proclamation expected to bolster Paris’s efforts to kick start Israeli-Palestinian peace talks. Earlier this month, representatives from 28 Arab and Western countries, the Arab League, European Union and the United Nations met in Paris to discuss ways in which the international community could help advance the Palestinian-Israel peace process. Neither Israeli nor Palestinian representatives were invited to attend the meeting, which aimed to lay the ground for a full-fledged peace conference to be held by the end of the year.
The Palestinians have welcomed the French bid but Israel has said the initiative would go down in history as having “pushed peace further away.”
Iraeli officials told the Haaretz daily that the Foreign Ministry failed to prevent the EU foreign ministers’ motion from being passed, and that it’s now focusing efforts on getting them to soften the announcement’s language.
France has reportedly pressed EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini and the other 27 foreign ministers of the EU states to throw their weight behind Paris’s initiative. An Israeli Foreign Ministry official said the French managed to garner the support of their EU allies to push for an international peace conference by year’s end. Negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians have been at a standstill since a US-led initiative collapsed in April 2014 amid mutual recriminations.
“Everyone agrees with us in principle that direct negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians are preferable,” an unnamed senior official in Jerusalem told Haaretz. “But in practice, they’re ignoring our objections to the French initiative. Most states don’t understand our position.”
The official said that the overwhelming support for Paris’s proposal stems mostly from the fact that “there’s no other initiative on the table that tries to break the freeze in the peace process.”
The summit of EU foreign ministers will be the latest in France’s efforts to bring the international community together for a peace conference. Senior French envoy Pierre Vimont, tasked with shepherding the peace effort, met Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry Friday for talks on future steps he will take to prepare for a conference to revive the moribund peace process. The Arab League said its secretary general Nabil Elaraby held similar talks with Vimont.
On Thursday, Egyptian ambassador Hazem Khairat said Cairo was willing to help create an “appropriate Palestinian environment” to facilitate an Israeli-Palestinian peace agreement. During a speech at the Herzliya Conference, Khairat hailed the current French peace initiative “as contributing to the framework of international action to this end.” The ministerial meeting in Paris earlier this month, he said, “has certainly made a new step toward peace.”

LISTEN TO DONALD TRUMP'S AMAZING RESPONSE AFTER MAN SAYS CUT OFF SUPPORT TO ‘ZIONIST ISRAEL’
"Let me just tell you", Mr. Trump began, "Israel is a very, very important ally of the United States, and we are going to protect Israel 100%." he said as his audience erupted in applause. Trump went on to call Israel our "true friend" and then did something amazing. He called the man's comment out as being "nasty" just so there would be no lingering doubt where he stands on the issue. “Let me just tell you”, Mr. Trump began, “Israel is a very, very important ally of the United States, and we are going to protect Israel 100%.” he said as his audience erupted in applause.

TRUMP GETS IT RIGHT ON JERUSALEM
By The Jerusalem Connection - July 1, 2016 - Jerusalem - By Jason Greenblatt, CNN - It seems to be a regular feature of the U.S presidential election cycle: Candidates from both parties solemnly pledge to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, only to sidestep the issue upon taking office. Shouldn’t the selection of a capital city rest solely with the people of the country who reside there?
Donald Trump believes it should. As president, he would recognize the right of the Israeli people to choose their capital city (a choice, incidentally, that has remained unchanged throughout 3,500 years of uninterrupted Jewish presence in Israel). That choice is Jerusalem.
Ever since King David established Jerusalem as the capital of the Land of Israel three millennia ago, the city has held unique significance to the Jewish people — both geographically and spiritually. Prior to modern times, Jerusalem largely comprised what is commonly referred to today as the Old City, the eastern section of Jerusalem (sometimes called East Jerusalem) where Judaism’s holiest sites are located, including the Temple Mount and the Western Wall.
The Temple Mount is considered to be the holiest place in the world for Jews, while the Western Wall is the remnant of an outer wall of the Second Temple, and is especially dear to Jews as it is the location closest to what was the holiest part of the Second Temple. The Old City also contains churches, such as the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, and other areas that are of great importance, historically and prophetically to Christians. Muslims, for their part, revere the Al-Aqsa Mosque and Dome of the Rock, a site constructed in the 7th century on the site where the Jewish temples once stood.
History records that only twice have invaders managed to expel the Jews from the Old City (though never from Israel entirely): the exile following the Romans’ destruction of the Second Temple almost 2,000 years ago, lasting nearly a century, and the 19-year Jordanian occupation beginning in 1948. After Israel achieved independence that year, an Arab coalition invaded, with Jordan capturing the Old City, destroying historic synagogues, desecrating Jewish cemeteries and barring Jewish worshipers from its holy sites. But when Jordan attacked Israel again in the Six Day War of 1967, Israel successfully routed its advancing forces, enabling Israel to recapture the Old City. After 2,000 years, the city of Jerusalem was reunited under Jewish control, and has been open to worshipers from all faiths ever since.
That openness — in a city teeming with ethnic and religious diversity — is a powerful testament to freedom and pluralism in a region desperately in need of both. Yet some suggest redividing the city, in the belief that peace will follow. One need only look southward, to Gaza, to realize the folly of that plan. An undivided Jerusalem must remain Israel’s eternal capital. After all, no other arrangement ensures open access to the city’s holy sites for all who wish to pray there.

BREXIT CHAOS COULD BE GATEWAY TO MESSIANIC ERA, SAYS END OF DAYS RABBI
By Rivkah Lambert Adler - June 30, 2016 - Over the past few days, the internet has been on fire with memes, commentary and conjecture about what Brexit means for the world. Some are concerned with the political and economic consequences. Some opine that it will be good for Israel and some assert the exact opposite. Breaking Israel News investigated whether there are prophetic implications in the UK’s decision to exit the European Union. One widely proposed opinion is that Brexit is a perfect expression of God’s Divine justice. The Jewish concept of middah kneged middah (measure for measure) is a theological understanding of the way God dispenses perfect justice. In this case, the European Union has been attempting to dismantle Israel by supporting Israel’s enemies. According to the principle of middah kneged middah, the Godly punishment is that the EU itself is now beginning to unravel. Others have suggested that, as redemption nears, God is fulfilling the words of Genesis 12:3, settling scores with nations that have mistreated the Jewish people.

UNITED WORLD TO FORCE ISRAEL TO MAKE PEACE
Paris summit ends with vague call for international conference by year’s end.
Participants warn time is running out on two-state solution, blame violence and settlement activity, but don’t set timeline for progress.
A one-day Israeli-Palestinian peace summit in Paris — to which the Israelis and Palestinians were not invited — concluded Friday with a warning that violence and settlement activity are imperiling a two-state solution, and a call for an international conference on the issue before the end of the year.
“We must act, urgently, to preserve the two-state solution, revive it before it is too late,” French Foreign Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault said after the meeting. [Source: The Times of Israel]
[Website Owner's comment: The International community treat Israel with the same disrespect as the Nazis treated Czechoslovakia. A nation to be invaded and raped, for the sake of “peace”. The Germans used the high numbers of Germans in Sudetenland as an excuse for invading the mountains of central Europe. The World leaders today, use the same language to please the Islamic World. The high numbers of “palestinian refugees”, makes it urgent to liberate “Palestine” from Zionist occupation.
The plan for the division and destruction of the Jewish nations, “the Oslo accord” was invented in Norway, the land of the pagan vikings. This post Christian kingdom has abandoned its Christian faith, and invited Muslims to take over the east of its capital Oslo.

During his visit last week to Jordan Israel, and the Palestinian Authority, Pope Francis invited Israeli President Shimon Peres and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas. Peres's spokesperson has announced in Times of Israel that Abbas, Peres, and Pope Francis will be joined by Jewish, Christian and Islamic religious leaders. According to the officials, these evening prayers would be a “pause in politics” and have no political aim behind it other than the desire to bring peace and respect to the Israeli-Palestinian relations, states the Associated Press.
The Vatican will broadcast the event worldwide through the official website. However, Rev. Pierbattista Pizzaballa, the custodian of Catholic Church property in the Holy Land has announced that people should keep their expectations low when it comes to this event. [No-one should think] “peace will suddenly break out on Monday, or that peace is any closer,” he said to AP. The Vatican has also announced that on Friday, the Pope also held a meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, and both leaders discussed possible ways of promoting peace and stability in Asia.
