US NAVY: IRAN'S PREPARED SUICIDE BOMB BOATS IN GULF
By REUTERS - 13/02/2012 - The commander of US naval forces in the region says US navy can prevent Iran from blocking Strait of Hormuz; "They've increased the number of submarines, fast attack craft," Vice Admiral Mark Fox says.
MANAMA - Iran has built up its naval forces in the Gulf and prepared boats that could be used in suicide attacks, but the US Navy can prevent it from blocking the Strait of Hormuz, the commander of US naval forces in the region said on Sunday.
Iran has made a series of threats in recent weeks to disrupt shipping in the Gulf or strike US forces in retaliation if its oil trade is shut down by sanctions, or if its disputed nuclear program comes under attack.
"They have increased the number of submarines ... they increased the number of fast attack craft," Vice Admiral Mark Fox told reporters. "Some of the small boats have been outfitted with a large warhead that could be used as a suicide explosive device. The Iranians have a large mine inventory."
"We have watched with interest their development of long range rockets and short, medium and long range ballistic missiles and of course ... the development of their nuclear program," Fox, who heads the US Fifth Fleet, said at a briefing on the fleet's base in the Gulf state of Bahrain. Iran now has 10 small submarines, he said. Continued:

ON ISRAEL AND IRAN
Posted by: Bruce Krasting - 03/01/2012 - Battle talk. - A very big question mark hanging over the global table is what the hell is going to happen between Iran and Israel. I spoke with a fellow in Europe I know who has an informed opinion. There were no secrets discussed, but his thoughts on some of the variables including Syria, bunker bombs and timing were interesting. Will Israel allow Iran to develop a nuke? Not a chance in hell.- What is the 'over - under on timing'? Certainly less than two years. Does Israel have the capacity to take out concrete hardened facilities in Iran? Yes, but this is by no means an easy task. It is not possible for the Israel Air force to attack without going over some other country’s border. The choices are Turkey (Iraq then Iran), Jordan (Saudi Arabia, Iraq then Iran), Syria (Iraq then Iran) or Saudi Arabia (Direct to Iran). ATTACK ON IRAN SPELLS TELAVIV'S END: IRAN COMMANDER
The deputy Chief of Staff of Iran's Armed Forces has warned Israel against any possible military move against Iran, saying it will cause the end of the Tel Aviv regime.
Sat Jun 23, 2012 6:4PM GMT
“If the Zionist regime [of Israel] tries to take any action against us, it will mark the end of its existence and there is no doubt that they are unable to harm the [Islamic] Revolution and the establishment in any way,” Brigadier General Mostafa Izadi said on Saturday.
He pointed to Iran's high naval as well as missile capabilities and said, in addition to military power, the Islamic Republic enjoyed other high capabilities that were not comparable to those of the Israeli regime.
Izadi referred to Iran's geostrategic location in the region as a privilege and said, ”The existence of numerous [Iranian] islands in the Persian Gulf has provided us with great capabilities, making the Islamic Republic the superior defense power in the region.” http://www.presstv.ir/detail/2012/06/23/247641/attack-on-iran-end-of-israel/

CHRISTIAN LEADERS TURN ON ISRAEL! (Chosen People Ministries)
Six hundred people gathered in Bethlehem recently (3-5-9-12) to protest Israel’s wall of protection. Professing evangelicals who traveled from America demonstrated against what they call the “injustice of occupation” and against Christian Zionism.
Some of the speakers were Tony Campolo, a spiritual advisor to Bill Clinton and Barack Obama; Lynn Hybels whose husband, Bill, pastors Willow Creek Community Church, one of the largest evangelical churches in the world; Joel Hunter; John Ortberg; and as shameful as it is, Professor Gary M. Burge and many students from Wheaton College, an evangelical school.
Their manifesto declares, “Racial ethnicity alone does not guarantee the benefits of the Abrahamic covenant. In essence, this means the Jews have no biblical place in the land simply because they are the seed of Abraham.”
It goes on to say, “Any exclusive claim to the land of the Bible in the name of God is not in line with the teachings of the Scripture.”
This is the same demonic replacement theology which was used during the time of Hitler to unite the Church behind him, rejecting the rights of the Jews and declaring the Church was Israel. These theologians demonized Israel and supported the Palestinian intifada.
(My, Hollis Caravetta, comments) Now I ask you… what Bible are these blind leaders reading? (Must be the NNIV- or the New Nazi Intifada Version). Both the Old and New Testament show God has never revoked the land on a permanent basis from those (the Jews) whom He gave it to in the first place! Have none of these so-called scholars read Romans 11? This is shocking to me because it puts the church in the forefront of denying God’s sacred and immutable Word. Shame on them! But I guess in some way it is good- this way it becomes evident who are the sheep and who are the wolves! Source: Hollis Caravetta E-mail: Holliscar@aol.com

NETANYAHU AT HIS BEST
Even those who aren't particularly sympathetic to Benjamin Netanyahu could get a good measure of satisfaction from this interview with British Television during the retaliation against Hamas' shelling of Israel. The interviewer asked him: "How come so many more Palestinians have been killed in this conflict than Israelis?" (A nasty question if there ever was one) Netanyahu: "Are you sure that you want to start asking in that direction? Interviewer: (Falling into the trap) Why not? Netanyahu: "Because in World War II more Germans were killed than British and Americans combined, but there is no doubt in anyone's mind that the war was caused by Germany 's aggression. And in response to the German blitz on London , the British wiped out the entire city of Dresden , burning to death more German civilians than the number of people killed in Hiroshima ... Moreover, I could remind you that in 1944, when the R.A.F. tried to bomb the Gestapo Headquarters in Copenhagen , some of the bombs missed their target and fell on a Danish children's hospital, killing 83 little children. Perhaps you have another question?" Source: Hollis Caravetta E-mail: Holliscar@aol.com

"CRASH COURSE ON THE ARAB-ISRAELI CONFLICT."
Here are overlooked facts in the current & past Middle East situation. These were compiled by a Christian university professor: Nationhood and Jerusalem : Israel became a nation in 1312 BC, two thousand (2000) years before the rise of Islam. Arab refugees in Israel began identifying themselves as part of a Palestinian people in 1967, two decades after the establishment of the modern State of Israel.. Since the Jewish conquest in 1272 BC, the Jews have had dominion over the land for one thousand (1000) years with a continuous presence in the land for the past 3,300 years. The only Arab dominion since the conquest in 635 lasted no more than 22 years.
For over 3,300 years, Jerusalem has been the Jewish capital. Jerusalem has never been the capital of any Arab or Muslim entity. Even when the Jordanians occupied Jerusalem , Arabs didn’t seek to make it their capital nor visit it. Jerusalem is mentioned over 700 times in Tanach, the Jewish Holy scriptures. Jerusalem is not mentioned even once in the Koran.
King David founded the city of Jerusalem . Mohammed never came to Jerusalem
Jews pray facing Jerusalem . Muslims pray with their backs toward Jerusalem .
Arab and Jewish Refugees: in 1948 the Arab refugees were encouraged to leave Israel by Arab leaders promising to purge the land of Jews . Sixty-eight percent left (many in fear of retaliation by their own brethren, the Arabs), without ever seeing an Israeli soldier. The ones who stayed were afforded the same peace, civility, and citizenship rights as everyone else.
The Jewish refugees were forced to flee from Arab lands due to Arab brutality, persecution and pogroms. The number of Arab refugees who left Israel in 1948 is estimated to be around 630,000. The number of Jewish refugees from Arab lands is estimated to be the same. Arab refugees were INTENTIONALLY not absorbed or integrated into the Arab lands to which they fled, despite the vast Arab territory. Out of the 100,000,000 refugees since World War II, theirs is the only refugee group in the world that has never been absorbed or integrated into their own people's lands. Jewish refugees were completely absorbed into Israel , a country no larger than New Jersey.
The Arab-Israeli Conflict: the Arabs are represented by eight separate nations, not including the Palestinians. There is only one Jewish nation. The Arab nations initiated all five wars and lost. Israel defended itself each time and won. The PLO's Charter still calls for the destruction of the State of Israel . Israel has given the Palestinians most of the West Bank land, autonomy under the Palestinian Authority, and has supplied them.
Under Jordanian rule, Jewish holy sites were desecrated and the Jews were denied access to places of worship. Under Israeli rule, all Muslim and Christian sites have been preserved and made accessible to people of all faiths.
The UN Record on Israel and the Arabs: of the 175 Security Council resolutions passed before 1990, 97 were directed against Israel. Of the 690 General Assembly resolutions voted on before 1990, 429 were directed against Israel.
The UN was silent while 58 Jerusalem synagogues were destroyed by the Jordanians.
The UN was silent while the Jordanians systematically desecrated the ancient Jewish cemetery on the Mount of Olives.
The UN was silent while the Jordanians enforced an apartheid-like a policy of preventing Jews from visiting the Temple Mount and the Western Wall. Source: Hollis Caravetta E-mail: Holliscar@aol.com

THE PA DECLARED ISLAM ITS OFFICIAL RELIGION, COMMITTED TO SHARIA LAW, AND DOES NOT OFFER CIVIL PROTECTION TO OTHER RELIGIONS
A few weeks ago, the PA declared that the First Baptist Church of Bethlehem is illegitimate. Christians in the West Bank have been victims of repeated persecution, violence, and rape. In 2005, Palestinian Christians, including Fr. Pierbattista Pizzaballa, custodian of the Holy Land, documented 93 incidents of abuse and violence by the "Islamic fundamentalist Mafia" against Christians.
Christians face intimidation, brutality, theft of their property and boycotts of their businesses.
The PA Ministry of Information reported in 1997 that "any Muslim who [converts to Christianity] or declares becoming an unbeliever is committing a major sin punishable by capital punishment." Christian history is denied by Palestinian Muslims, including Yassir Arafat`s and the recently retired Mufti of Jerusalem who claim that the Jewish Temple never existed in Jerusalem. The Christian population in Gaza has plummeted from 2,500 to under 1,000 because of persecution by Hamas.
Simon interviewed and promoted anti-Semitic sources.
Mitri Raheb, the main pastor he interviewed, is well known for promoting Replacement Theology which Vatican II condemned as a prime source of anti-Semitism and the Holocaust. Raheb delegitimizes Israel and the right of the Jewish state to exist. Simon uncritically promoted the Kairos Document though it has been exposed as using high-minded rhetoric to camouflage the authors` sinister motives -delegitimization of Israel, opposition to the existence of the Jewish state, and calls for boycott and divestment from Israel. FORMER ISRAELI PREMIER ASSAILS NETANYAHU ON IRAN
Ehud Olmert, a former prime minister of Israel, spoke Sunday at a conference in Manhattan held by The Jerusalem Post. By ANNE BARNARD - Published: April 30, 2012
Ehud Olmert, the former prime minister of Israel, plunged on Sunday into the country’s growing debate over Iran policy with harsh criticism of his successor, Benjamin Netanyahu.
As several recently retired top security officials have done, Mr. Olmert urged Mr. Netanyahu’s government not to rush into unilateral military action against Iran’s suspected nuclear weapons program.
But Mr. Olmert went much further. Drawing boos from a largely American audience in New York, he fired off a wide-ranging broadside against Mr. Netanyahu’s foreign policy, saying that the prime minister was unprepared to offer meaningful compromise to Palestinians, disrespectful to the United States and dismissive of the international community at a time when Israel particularly needs foreign support to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons.
“A nation has the right to determine what it should do to defend itself,” Mr. Olmert said at a conference held in a Manhattan hotel by The Jerusalem Post. “But when at the same time we ask the United States and other countries to provide us with the means to do it, no one is entirely independent to act, irrespective of the positions and attitudes and policies of other countries.”
Since leaving office in 2008, Mr. Olmert has often urged caution concerning Iran. His remarks on Sunday were noteworthy for their place and time — before an audience of some of Mr. Netanyahu’s strongest American supporters, and only a few days after Israel’s top military officer suggested that the threat posed by Iran was less urgent than Mr. Netanyahu has said, and the former head of Israel’s internal security service said the prime minister had “messianic feelings.”
Illustrating how visceral the debate has become, and how entwined it is with politics in both Israel and the United States, some in the crowd peppered Mr. Olmert with shouts of “Naïve!” and “Neville Chamberlain!” and booed loudly when he called for a less confrontational stance toward President Obama, whose political opponents Mr. Netanyahu has openly courted. “You have to respect him,” Mr. Olmert said of Mr. Obama. “He is the president of the most powerful nation on earth, and happens to be a friend of Israel.” When boos rang through the conference room in response, he joked, “I can see that this hall is full of Democrats.” Mr. Olmert was booed again when he declared that while Israel should prepare the military ability to strike Iran’s nuclear program as a last resort, it should first push for American-led international action against Iran, including sanctions and possible joint military action. PANETTA CONFIRMS US INVOLVEMENT IN POTENTIAL ISRAELI WAR ON IRAN
Confirming what has always been the implicit way in which the US is going to get sucked into its next major war, Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta confirmed that the US would definitely involve itself in a war on Iran if Israel decided to launch one. “Obviously Israel is an independent country, and they’ll make whatever decisions they make on their own based on what they think is in their national interests,” Panetta said, adding that “if they should make that decision, that obviously the United States would take action” to protect its interests in the region.

EGYPT REVISING THE CAMP DAVID ACCORDS
by Jonathan D. Halevi - On March 12, 2012, Dr. Mohamed Al-Saed Idris, Chairman of the Arab Affairs Committee in the new Egyptian Parliament, presented the committee's official outline of Egypt's regional policy.
The committee's operative recommendations called for an official definition of Israel as an enemy, severing diplomatic relations, full support for the armed struggle against Israel, re-adoption of the total boycott of Israel, raising the issue of Jerusalem in the international arena, and a review of Egyptian nuclear policy.
In its eyes, Israel is the foremost enemy of Egypt and the Arab and Islamic world, and the peace agreement with it (the Camp David agreement) is considered a dead letter.
Egypt is setting itself on a collision course with Israel , using the Palestinian issue in all its aspects - including Israeli military operations against Palestinian terrorism as well as Israeli policy in Jerusalem or the West Bank - as an excuse for direct Egyptian intervention. Defining Israel as a "major enemy" means building a military capability to deal with the "Israeli threat," including an attempt to deny Israel any advantage in the nuclear field and/or the development of Egyptian nuclear weapons. At present, the new Egyptian political leadership cannot translate these policies into actions. But this situation is likely to change after the presidential elections on May 23-24 and the establishment of a new civilian government. March 2012 Issue: http://www.shamrak.com/index.php

10 POINT PROGRAM OF THE PLO (1974)
Political Program Adopted at the 12th Session of the Palestine National Council
Cairo, 8 June 1974 - The Palestine National Council, On the basis of the Palestine National Charter and the Political Program drawn up at the eleventh session, held from 6-12 January 1973; and from its belief that it is impossible for a permanent and just peace to be established in the area unless our Palestinian people recover from all their national rights and, first and foremost, their rights to return and to self-determination on the whole of the soil of their homeland; and in the light of a study of the new political circumstances that have come into existence in the period between the Council’s last and present sessions, resolves the following:
1. To reaffirm the Palestine Liberation Organization’s previous attitude to Resolution 242, which obliterates the national right of our people and deals with the cause of our people as a problem of refugees. The Council therefore refuses to have anything to do with this resolution at any level, Arab or international, including the Geneva Conference.
2. The Palestine Liberation Organization will employ all means, and first and foremost armed struggle, to liberate Palestinian territory and to establish the independent combatant national authority for the people over every part of Palestinian territory that is liberated. This will require further changes being effected in the balance of power in favor of our people and their struggle.
3. The Liberation Organization will struggle against any proposal for a Palestinian entity the price of which is recognition, peace, secure frontiers, renunciation of national rights, and the deprival of our people of their right to return and their right to self-determination on the soil of their homeland. IN TWO CAREFULLY COORDINATED EVENTS THE USA PUT AN END TO ISRAEL'S PLAN TO ATTACK IRAN
On March 28, 2012, Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak publicly praised himself and Defense Secretary Leon Panetta: “The decision [to cancel the attack] was the result of contacts between the [Israeli] Defense Ministry and the Pentagon.” At that moment, the poker game between the USA, Israel and Iran came to an abrupt end. There was no winner, but one loser: Israel.
About a week ago, I published Obama Bluffs Netanyahu, just after President Obama’s video appeal to the Iranian people on the occasion of Nowruz, the Persian New Year. He told them that there was “no reason for the United States and Iran to be divided from one another.” This was a sharp deviation from the belligerent Israeli-American discourse in recent months. Moreover, it was a clear end to Netanyahu’s desire to force the USA into attacking Iran (see Netanyahu Wags the Dog). “Netanyahu needs a war with Iran. The only way Netanyahu could prevent a deal between the USA and Iran is by attacking Iran before an agreement is signed, or by performing a false flag attack on American soil. Obama bluffed Netanyahu,” I summarized the event. A week later, the American administration hit Israel twice. The first event was private in nature, a war-simulation conducted at the Pentagon. The second was public and brutal: the USA formally disclosed secret information about Israeli plans, which has effectively put an end to any possibility of carrying out an aerial attack on Iran by Israel.
